Rising Sun

"This Material World Is Only A Passing Thing"

La Línea
Ahí en esa orilla del mundo
No duerme la maquiladora
De un desperdicio en la tierra
El hijo del sol nació

Que embrullo la curandera
Con trapos y yerbas sobó
La piel de ese niño mulato
Que pluma su piel brotó

¡O que maravilla es ésta!
Lo que el TLC provocó
De una raya imaginaria
De un chivi chivi colo

Que un niño de ojos de luna
Palabra de flor cantó:
“Este mundo material
Solamente es pasajero”

Flor de maíz
El cielo te está cuidando
Llano de lumbre
La tierra que te parió

Espíritu de la tierra
Espíritu del mal
Espíritu de la suerte
Que tiene que caminar
